The freshmen students who are in CEMS and 12th graders who are in AP physics  went to valley fair on thursday, May 21. The requirements to going was that they had to be passing all their classes. For those who did not want to go, or could not, went to their classes and continued as though it was a regular day. Katie (9th) who has almost all CEMS classes during the day said “ We did Literally nothing.”

For the students that went, met in the cafeteria at 8:30am and got to Valley fair by about 10:00am, The students left Valley fair at 4:00pm and did not get back to Blaine until 6:10pm. When they got back to school they had to find a ride to get home. The cost of going was $23per student for going to the park and the bus.

The students created an experiment in which they collected data and then tested it at Valley Fair.The whole project was worth 30 points. They were graded off of a Lab report they did on google drive.Some other experiments were trying to find the average velocity of the Steel of Venom, Finding the centripetal force of the Corkscrew, and many more.

There were not a lot of other people at valley fair on thursday. Tiffany(9th) said  “ We got to go on a lot of rides without having to wait in line forever. It was a lot of fun.” Though the lines were short you could obviously tell which rides were favorites.

Some of them included the wild thing, the corkscrew, the steel of venom, the power towers, and a lot of the other large rides. Unfortunately  splash city was not yet open. Brooke (9th) said ”My favorite ride was the Wild Thing, because it’s amazing, and I love big roller coasters. Definitely worth the wait.”

“For the incoming CEMS 9th graders I would definitely suggest that they go to valley fair. It’s a lot of fun, and a great experience.” said Tiffany(9th) You saw a lot of Cems students their, It was a great way to catch up with friends. CEMS students had a lot of fun at Valley fair even if their was work included.
