Reporters, writers and journalist often address the latest stories in the news or problems pertaining to their audience. Rarely do readers of any source of media get to know the authors of the colorful pieces you spend your morning reading. Behind every headline and short story there is a writer. That writer has a story too, often forgotten about because in the hectic lives we live today, we want the facts, cut dry and simple. Here at Blaine High School the journalists posting to the online BHS Blueprint would like to share their stories also. Here is an inside look at one of the Blueprint’s contributors…

I get up at about 6:45 most of the time. Mornings are pretty effortless for me,  I’m the kind of guy that showers, gets dressed and is out the door. Not before I  brush my teeth though. After I quickly make myself presentable for the day, I’m out the door to hop into my red 2006 toyota camry to pick up “Bae” on my way to school.

Once arriving at school at around 7:35 (give or take five to ten minutes) I’m off to my first class, Chemistry. Chemistry for me is accompanied by Mr. Theisens interesting facial hair and the mediocre nature of acids and bases. I hear that bell chime after an hour and I’m off to my locker to see my girlfriend.

At the sound of the warning bell I leave for another exhilarating hour of Journalism. Which is accompanied by Mr. Loo’s persistent sarcasm and strange need for his students to think his jokes are funny.  When writing gets a little to boring and I become uninterested in the latest news stories, I switch to playing Bloons Tower Defense and tweeting (follow me on twitter @zacyahn15). After reaching my high score and reaching an acceptable amount of favorites on my latest tweet, I hear the bell ring and the day continues.

Third hour starts and so begins Ms. Ries speaking about many different careers and I begin thinking about life after school and what I want to do with my life.   After some serious thinking I head to my invigorating fourth hour class, English with Mr. Banse. Fourth hour is the hour I get to eat lunch and because I don’t really eat breakfast I sit in class listening to the rumbling of my empty stomach waiting for the clock to tick to 12:19 so I can go eat some yummy food. By the time lunch is over it’s 12:49 and I have to head back to the last ten minutes of class. Ending my day with Animal Management in portable C. It’s a nice way to end my day  because I stay entertained by listening to Mr. Levine’s interesting stories and ways of expressing how he feels. After my rousing day of school,  I also drive my girlfriend home and hang out over there for awhile, spending my night watching netflix at her house.
