Pre-Game Warm ups kick off at 6:30 and we can already tell this game is going to be great. The fans start to fill up the stands and it seems like the rink is absolutely packed. The game is quite a ways away but boy for this rink it is sure worth it. The hockey players roar onto the rink and the game is just about to get underway. The game kicks off nice and quick just shy of the 4th minute mark Blaine’s #17 Luke Notermann quickly puts it in with #27 Riley Tufte on the assist.  The game kicks off with a quick 1 – 0 lead over Centennial and as the game goes on Blaine’s #32 Jon Kallestad Makes numerous saves. With little above 4 minutes left of the 1st period #27 Riley Tufte puts one into the net unassisted blaine’s up 2-0. As the 1st period wraps up Blaine’s #32 Jon Kallestad makes a nice save and there are a couple shots on the net but the clock winds down to 0 and the buzzard sounds. Great 1st period Blaine’s ahead by two chances are looking good for state. After the Zamboni finishes his rounds Period 2 gets underway and we’ll see if Centennial can make up for their losses. Whatever hope Centennial had to regain their loss of points is quickly cut short by #36 Alex Penn assisted by #27 Riley Tufte making the score 3 – 0 Blaine still 16 minutes left of the 2ed period. Little over 15 seconds later Blaine yet again score this time by #16 Tanner Vescio making the score 4 – 0 Blaine. Seconds later after that the first penalty of the game is called on Centennials #12 Meany, Ryan for ruffining but hes not in there for long Blaine’s #22 Easton Brodzinski Assisted by #16 Tanner Vescio and Jesse Slawson making the Score 5-0. Times turn around for Centennial and maybe they can get points on the board as two Blaine players pick up penalties #32 Jon Kallestad for roughing (#36 will take his place) and #25 Jordan Turnquist for slashing. Centennial has a two player advantage over Blaine in the zone but Blaine is able to make great saves and waste down those 2 minutes and are back at full strength. With 9 minutes left of the 2ed period (not yet halfway through the game) Blaine’s #25 Jordan Turnquist Scores assisted by #27 Riley Tufte and #17 Luke Notermann Making the score 6 – 0 Centennial is looking like it may be a total shut out. Blaines #25 Jordan Turnquist makes a nice shot at the net but the next goal is score by #36 Alex Penn  assisted by #17 Luke Notermann and #25 Jordan Turnquist. Little over 6 minutes left of the 2’ed Blaine’s #15 Ryan McArthur gets boxed for stick grabbing and it gives Centennial its first real shot and #21 Berg, Colton scores putting Centennial on the board 7 – 1 still trailing by 6. The rest of the period warps up with a couple good saves by Blaine’s #32 Jon Kallestad who doesn’t seem to let anything past him. The clock winds down to 0 Blaines ahead 7 – 1 and Because of this big Score Gap the Refs. Announce Running time will be used for the 3rd period. The 3rd period kicks off with a quick goal scored in the first minute and a half by Blaine’s #22 Easton Brodzinski making the score 8 – 1. As the rest of the period progresses Blaine does it’s best to waste the clock down as as this is happening the Blaine and Centennial Student Sections become to get savage making chants at each other. No matter how much centennial tries the Final Buzzard sounds the Score is 8 – 1. The Boy Blaine Bengals are joining the Girls at STATE!
