On Thursday September 12th our Blaine varsity volleyball team played the huskies at Andover HS. We won the match in just three games, but that wasn’t the only exciting part of the night. Sophey Stepanek, the only freshman on the varsity team, had multiple kills, an ace and an incredible block. She displayed a good jump serve and made an impression on all the fans and players.

Tragedy stuck during the second game with us winning 15 to 4 when Taylor Morgan one of the outstanding middle hitters went up for a block and hurt what looked like her left knee. Everyone clapped as coaches helped her off the court, and fans are hoping she will be back soon.
