What is with the School Lunches?

Imagine you come into a very crowded school cafeteria, and you walk, more like run to the lunch line. You wait to get your lunch while being squished between two people you’ve never seen. The lunch lady gives you your lasagna, well you think it’s lasagna. You go sit down with your friends, you guys talk and have a good time. You look down at your lasagna, and you pick at it, and decide on not to eat it. You go, and dump your tray and go to your next class. Does this sound familiar, because this is how most student around the U.S describe their school lunch schedule.                                    

At Blaine High School there are a lot of lunch options like Spicy Chicken Breast Filet on a whole Grain Bun with Crispy Baked hash brown potato triangle which comes with that came right off of the Blaine High School
– Lunch Menus website. I doesn’t sound that bad? But here is what some Blaine High school students say about the spicy chicken sandwich,“The Spicy chicken at BHS is really soggy, and the hashbrown is most of the time burnt or not cooked well.” Samantha Chooraman said. Also Ashley Wilson said “ I actually like the spicy chicken at BHS.” There are a lot of opinions on the school lunch and that’s
only one item.

Briana Barkema described the school lunch to me as “Nasty!” She also said, “The only food I actually like is the pizza, because it’s pretty hard to screw up pizza”. I also asked her what  the grossest food in BHS is she said,“ There are so many, but I really hate the Teriyaki chicken, you have to check if its breathing before you eat it.”

Lastly, I asked around fifteen people if they eat cold lunch or the school hot lunch. Most people I interviewed said they eat the school hot lunch, and Ajla Kamenica said, “If I had time in the morning i would have tried to do it then eating the school lunch”.
