In a recent CNN interview, Donald Trump announced that he will be sworn in on a gold throne, paid for by countries in NATO.  “Since I am going to be the greatest president in history, I deserve to be sworn in on something as great as the country that I am going to create,” he said.  “This is a really important decision — one of the most important of my presidency — and I did lots of thinking about it and decided that I’m going to take the oath while sitting on a solid gold throne.”

Trump said that being sworn in in such a manner will show the world that America is a land of great wealth and natural resources.

He added that he will get a team of the best designers in America to create the throne, and that it will be “the biggest, most beautiful throne anyone has ever seen.”

Trump said that since the throne was going to cost around 200 million dollars, he didn’t want to pay for it.  “I’m planning this huge addition to one of my palaces in Russia, and I want to put in a junior palace so that my best friend Putin — who is much better than Obama — can come over.  My budget for that project is looking bad, so if I pay for the throne, I can’t build the junior palace.  And believe me, I can’t let that happen.”

Trump then announced that he will make the countries in NATO pay for the throne.

Throughout his campaign, Trump said that he would only protect the countries in NATO who paid their membership dues.  In this interview, Trump said that he stands by those comments.  Making them pay for his throne would test how loyal they are to the United States.

Trump said, “I am the best negotiator in the world, and I’m going to make them an offer they can’t refuse.  If they are loyal and pay for the throne, I’ll ask Putin to stay away.  But if they don’t pay, they’ll be left on their own.  Friendship is huge.  If the countries in NATO violate our friendship, they’re going to be destroyed.”

Trump also said that he wanted to be sworn in with a Gutenberg Bible, the most expensive type of Bible in the world.  There are only 48 copies in existence, and a single copy costs 5 million dollars.

He said, “I love the Bible.  I was just reading the book of 3 Kings today.  I love the Bible so much that I’m going to be the first president ever to be sworn in with it.  I am going to make history and show the world that I am the holiest president ever by being the first president ever to be sworn in with the Bible.  And I think that having a Gutenberg Bible would make the event even huger.”

Trump concluded by noting that Gutenberg Bibles exist in several NATO countries, and said that if “a country doesn’t want to pay for the throne, they could just fork over one of those Bibles instead.”
