The Monsters on the Wall

If you’ve been through the upstair hallways that lead into the library, you might have noticed some sculptures of some odd looking things. Those are some heads of monsters, made by the Sculpture 2 class here at BHS. Sculpture 2 is a more advanced level than Sculpture 1, where they make art in a 3D medium. The sculptures found in the hallway are made of papier-mâché, and some paint. Each student chose a monster to bring to life (or death, depending on how you look at it.) According to the teacher Kim Blevins, these papier-mâché sculptures took the class 4 weeks to make, and could’ve possibly taken longer. If you’d like to make sculptures like those, and many others, I suggest looking to sign-up for a Sculpture class next year!
