I interviewed the Blaine boy’s JV Basketball coach, Mr. Barnette about  his expectations for this year and what he’s most excited about. And here’s what he had to say:

 Me: So, which team do you coach for here at Blaine?

 Coach: I coach for the boy’s junior varsity team.

  Me: How long have you coached here?

 Coach: This is my third year coaching here at Blaine.

  Me: How do you think your team will do this season?

 Coach: I think that we’re going to surprise some people. We have the  right pieces in place to have a successful season.

  Me: Who is your team’s x-factor?

 Coach: Our biggest x-factor is Ben Sherer. He’s our big post post  player, and he’s a senior this year, so he’ll be big for us.

  Me: Which returning players do you think will be pivotal?

 Coach: Gotta look for some of our seniors. Zack Baker, Jared Kaul,  Dakota Neppel. Those three are the guys who are really going to step  up for us this year.

  Me: What are you most excited about for this year?

 Coach: I’m excited about our potential. We have all the pieces in  place. Our guys have the energy.
