The softball game on Wednesday, April 15  against Anoka proves to be a victory for Blaine. The score being 13-6 going into the bottom of the 6th inning gave Blaine a large lead. Blaine goes on to score 3 runs – making the score 16-6. The girls end up winning by a 10 run rule. This is their highest scoring game so far this year.

One of the highlights of this game is Mckenna Vanhavermat (9) hitting a home run deep into the center field. It is her first home run of the season so all the girls were waiting for her at the home plate. As she arrives at home plate the whole team is there to congratulate and cheer on their teammate.

Another highlight is Michaela Martin (11) catching a line drive and throwing it to first for a double play and helping to preserve the lead.  Also, the pitcher for this game, Morgan Thielhorn (10), allowed 6 runs as the pitcher; 4 which were earned on 4 hits and 4 on walks. This makes her 2-1 for the year.
