Blaine Basketball and Covid-19
January 19, 2021
As of January 4th, all high school athletes must wear masks during gameplay.
I Interviewed the Blaine High School Basketball team and asked several players and coaches what they thought of the Mask Policy so far.
The first player I interviewed was Junior AJ Kaul, he says “I think wearing masks while I play basketball is going to be something I have to get used to. But if it means I can play basketball again I will do whatever it takes to stay healthy and keep playing.”
Head Coach Mark Arzdorf said “playing and coaching with masks this year is going to be a difficult task. even though this is going to be an obstacle for our team I believe we will be able to get through it and play hard.”
The last player of the Blaine Basketball team was senior Dylan Meyers, Dylan gave me a different perspective… he says “Wearing masks while playing basketball doesn’t worry or bother me at all. I barely notice it while I’m playing and I see little to no difference with or without one.”
These players and coaches of the Blaine Basketball team all have different perspectives of playing their season with Covid-19 masks.
