Things To Do When You're Sick

Staying home sick is one of the worst things I can imagine. It’s incredibly boring because there isn’t much you can do. I know this all too well, as I’ve been sick the past two days. So here are a few things you can do to pass the time:

-Watch a good movie (or several): Movies are always a good way to pass the time. Personally, I go for movies in a series. I’ve watched all the Indiana Jones Movies in the past two days.

-Find a show to binge watch: Netflix is everyone’s favorite streaming service. On a day when you can’t do much else, Netflix is a good way to pass time. My go to show is Gossip Girl, but Netflix offers a wide variety of TV shows and movies.

-Read a book: Sometimes it is difficult to keep up with reading books during the school year, but a sick day is the perfect opportunity to read a good book.

-Catch up on homework: Though not the most fun way to spend the day, it is necessary to stay caught up in school.

-Make yourself some tea: Tea is very soothing to a sore throat. Additionally, if you have a stomach bug, peppermint tea can soothe the stomach.

-Eat some soup: Soup is the best thing to eat when you’re sick. Chicken noodle soup is the easiest on the stomach. If you cannot eat the soup, plain crackers and a light soda such as ginger ale are helpful.

-Take a nap: Perhaps the best way to spend your time when sick is sleeping. Not only does it pass the time, but it is also helps your body recover from the illness.

-Write a story for Blueprint: Why not when you’ve got nothing else to do? This is how I spent my second day sick at home.
