As I groggily open my friend Gina Rosvold’s car at 7:26 am, I see the prison looking building known as Blaine High School. I step through the doors of Blaine four minutes later, around 7:30, or as the ten minute bell rings. I walk to my locker, feeling scared because most of the people here are bigger than me.

As I arrive at my locker in the North Commons, my pals greet me with a “Hey Dee!” and sometimes a high five. Since I have the bottom portion of my shared locker, I squat down and put my books away. Usually, my locker buddy, Kenzie Seim, will be standing off to the side, doing the same thing.

As the 7:40 bells rings, I find myself in the Foods room for my first hour, Nutristyles. Two of my good friends, Rachel and Jaela, are the highlight of that class. We occasionally cook healthy foods like chicken chow mein and make smoothies. We also go on walks through Bunker Trails.

After first hour I feel tired, unless we go for a walk, then I feel refreshed. Going from first to second hour, I talk and smile at my friends as I walk down the hallway to my locker. There, I grab my stuff for Drivers Ed, where I meet up with my friends Ava and Kenzie. We walk down the hallway and when we reach the end, we all go our separate ways.

When I go outside to Portable A, I wish that I could go back to Nutristyles, since I like that better than Drivers Ed. Nutristyles is just more fun. I know that I’m learning how to drive which will be nice once I pass the permit test, but it’s boring to learn about the rules of the road.

I sigh and have no motivation to go to third hour, which is Spanish. I enjoy passing time between second and third hour because I have to have a little fun before I go to one of my least favorite classes. The reason I don’t like Spanish is because I don’t like the work we have to do.

As I fly out of the portable on the westside of Blaine High School, I think, “Wow, half of the day is over! Only two more classes to go.” I find Lauryn, and we go to English together. English is one of my more enjoyable classes. I walk into Mr. Sowden’s fourth hour english class, and sit in my usual seat next to the wall, next to Lauryn.

By the time Lunch D rolls around, I am very hungry. I cannot wait to get through the huge lunch line and get a nice hot lunch. The only reason I get hot lunch is because I’m too lazy to make my own. Except for today, May 6th 2015, I brought my own cold lunch.

During first and second tri, I sent “Daily Carrot Pics” to my friends. They really enjoyed them.  Lunch is one of the highlights of my day, so after lunch the only thing I look forward to is seeing my friends and going home to nap.

I have math fifth hour, and I wish I didn’t. At the end of the day, I’m tired and ready to go home, not learn. There is a kid in my class named Chen. He helps me with my homework, and makes sure I always get the right answer. One time, Chen hit the whip (a dance) for us. Surprisingly, it was really good.

As the final bell of the day rings at 2:20, I am beyond ready to leave. I will either walk out by myself, or wait for one of my friends and walk with them. I leisurely walk out of school to my dad’s car which is parked near the buses. I wanted to add that outside of school I am a very fun person, but sometimes school just kills my vibe. The soccer and hockey seasons make it a little more fun to go to school, knowing you have a game later on.

My dad drives me home, and I proceed to take a nap, which is by far the best part of my day.
