BPA Nationals: California Experience Day 3
May 13, 2015
It was Friday, the day we went to Disney land, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself. Before that was the presentation. Adam, Michaela, and I woke up at 8:00 A.M. and went to Miss Rice’s room to practice before we went in front of the judges. I remember being really nervous; my hands sweaty and worrying about how awkward it would be when I would have to shake the judge’s hands. Although I was nervous, I made sure not to show it, and as soon as we walked in front of those judges we presented like real business professionals. I was really happy with how it went, and was excited to find out later that night if we had made it on to finals.
Next on the long list of things to do was Disneyland. We all walked there, and it took about 20 minutes. Once we were there I just remember seeing Mulan and having the little kid hiding inside of me come out. It was a really nice experience. Although the lines were treacherous; the wait was completely worth it. Space mountain was by far the best ride there; I felt like an astronaut shooting off into space. I laughed at my friends screaming behind me, and it was so fun that we decided to wait for another hour to go on it a second time. When standing in line, Michaela and I received a text message from Miss Rice saying that we had made it on to finals! We screamed and jumped up with excitement. What that meant was that we would have to compete again the next morning this time only against the 12 others who made it on to finals.
So then we all walked home, and I made sure to go to bed as soon as I could so that I could be ready to present again in the morning. It was nerve racking, but just having made it into finals was amazing to me. I was so glad that my Advisors were there to help me prepare.
