Its a nice and chilly day to watch a hockey game. We got two back to back hockey games down at the Exel energy Center. Andover V.S. Minnetonka and Blaine V.S. Lakeville South. The Andover Game Starts out kinda slow in the first period a couple shots on goal but nothing serious but then, #22 BIGHAM, EMMA gets a penalty for tripping with 9 minutes left of the first period. Andover makes a shot on goal at 8 minutes left but the clock runs down and the power play is over. Little over 5 minutes left of the first period we see out first goal by Minnetonka’s #10 KELLER, KIPPIN score is now 1 – 0 Minnetonka. We see Minnetonka’s 2ed goal scored with 3 minutes left this time by #22 BIGHAM, EMMA setting Minnetonka up 2 – 0 as the teams go into the locker rooms. The 2ed period begains with a early penalty only 2 minutes in by Minnetonka for tripping by #24 SAUERER, CAELYN, but andover is unable to score in the power play. Andovers #39 Cassidy Stumo makes a 2 nice saves during the 2ed period and just shows how much andover is strugging to recover from being down 2 goals. There is another penalty this time by andovers #15  Lexi Turpin for checking but no goals are scored and both teams go into the locker room with a unchanged score board. As the 3rd period gets underway Andovers hope seems to vanish after Minnetonta scores less then 2 minutes in making the score 3 – 0 with only 15 minutes left of play time. A minute later Andovers #39 Cassidy Stumo makes another great save as andover tries to stay afloat. Three minutes into the already disappointing period Minnetonka Scores yet again this time by #10 KELLER, KIPPIN making andover all but loose hope. The game carries on andover desperately trying to put anything on the board is yet again cut down by another goal by Minnetonka by #24 SAUERER, CAELYN putting andover down 5 points in wich they wont recover. The final buzzard sounds 5 – 0 Minnetonka is moving on to the Semi Finals. Rough Game for Andover but they played well and it was a interesting game to watch. Nect match up Blaine V.S.
