Portable Chargers, Which One Should You Buy?
January 11, 2015
We’ve all had that horrible moment of having a dead phone battery. It can vary from having disastrous effects on your life to just not being able to talk to your friends so what is a good way fix to this? There are many different ways to keep your phone from dying such as turning the brightness down or other ways that Samsung has come out with super saver mode but what about a portable charger? Portable chargers are exactly what they sound like a device that you can bring any where you go and will allow you to charge almost any thing you want via a USB port on the device. There are 2 different type that are very different devices that do basically the same thing so i hope through this review you can decide for yourself what device will work the best for you.
Lets start with the most basic and cheapest of these devices the super portable charger. Chromo Inks lipstick power bank is advertised for $10 on amazon and has still a very substantial 2600 mAh. But what does 2600 mAh actually get you? mAh is millamps per hour and is the amount of juice you can get out of the battery. Lets compare this to two of the flagship smart phones the iphone 6 and the samsung galaxy S5. The Iphone 6 has a 1900 mAh battery meaning you could use this device to charge your iphone 6 up at least once from dead and maybe a little more. That can be extremly helpful if your phone were to die and you needed it for important matters. The S5 has a much larger battery so you may not get as much use as a external battery because you cant fully charge it from dead seeing as the charger has 2600 mAh and the S5 has 2800 mAh. So this device is simple and cheap good for anyone who simply needs a little bit more juice here and there
Lets look at something with a little more juice. Easy ACCs 10,000 mAh ultra slim dual usb portable charger. Right away you most likely notice how big of a number that is compared to the last device. 10,000 mAh is roughly 3 times the amount of charge you can get out of Chromo Inks lipstick charger and that is very true but is this completely necessary for daily life? You can get allot more battery life for you phones with this and it will allow you to fully charge your S5 if you have a phone with that big of battery. You can also with this charge more then one device so if you wanted to charge a friends device or any other device that can be charged via a usb port you could. Its much more expensive priced at $25 on amazon but with that money you get buttery quality. It is much bigger and maybe not as portable as the Lipstick being it is 5.2 x 2.8 x 0.6 inches. You can still bring it any where you go and you’ll get a good amount of juice out of it for the price.
