(SPOILERS!)

One of the most anticipated movies of 2013, the Hunger Games Catching Fire did in fact shine brighter and better than it’s predecessor. The movie, in my words, was an impossible feat. After watching the first, yes, I guess the first was entertaining, but Catching Fire is nothing but a masterpiece compared to it. How could you get the Outstanding second film from the empty shell we were left with in 2012. With nice visual effects and amazing acting, and let’s not forget the plot, this movie was in at least my mind, a top ten film.

The sheer presence of Jennifer Lawrence on the screen again (She’s mine, let’s make that clear) boosts the films power and authority.  I mean, she’s hot, she’s an amazing actress and one of the youngest recipients of the Oscar she won last year for her work in the Silver Linings Playbook.  In this movie, she performed better than ever, and deserves that award again.  Without her, the movie would have collapsed, but she put the puzzle pieces right where they needed to fit, and man was she good at it. Other than her, the rest of the cast had put on a marvelous show as well. I was actually convinced this all was happening at one point of the show, and that is a very strange way to feel.

The director, Francis Lawrence had to be responsible for the amount of emotion and heart-pounding suspense delivered by this movie. The passion in the film is so good that when they were about to go into the arena again, I was actually bothered with it. Not in a bad way, but It made me upset that I couldnt jump through the screen and fight alongside Katness and Peeta. This movie was an impressive asset to the Hunger Games Film Series and it’s going to be hard for Mockingjay Part One and Two to compete with. I highly recommend everyone to see it. I give this movie a 4.6 out of 5 paws for everything stated above.
