Where Can I Volunteer During Winter Break?

Brandon Wagenfeld, Blueprint Staff

Whether you’re trying to fulfill a service requirement for Bengals in Action, National Honors Society, Civics class, or you just like volunteer, you probably plan on doing it over winter break. Luckily, Blaine High School has some great opportunities to help out in the community.

Feed My Starving Children: December 27/28

Feed My Starving Children is a favorite among Blaine students, so spots usually go fast. At FMSC, you pack food for shipping to countries all around the world for children who otherwise wouldn’t have a meal. If you sign up, try to get your parent/guardian to sign up too because FMSC needs more 18+ year old volunteers.

Sessions include:

December 27: 12 – 2 pm, 2:30 – 4:30 pm

December 28: 9:30 am – 11:30 am, 12 – 2 pm

Comfort First Assisted Living: December 28

At Comfort First Assisted Living, you will play bingo with the residents. You can either be the bingo caller or you can help residents with their bingo cards.

Sessions include:

December 28: 2:45  – 4 pm
