Team Work between the Departments at Blaine High School

Did you believe that the money BHS uses to fund everything was confidential? Think again, the school is an open book when it comes to finances. It just takes some time to get the information required to have an understanding of it.

Before break, the news team interviewed Mrs. Schultz, an administrator and vice principal at the high school. We asked about why the schools budget was so secretive, she seemed to disagree. She said, “I don’t believe it is at all, I never knew it to be so.”She also said, “The school acts like a team, if one stove dies in the FACS department, then perhaps the math department would shed some funds to help replace it.” Of course, along with that, the High School also has a default budget that if made to fund everything essential. It’s good that the school does this; it’s setting an example to all the students to work together so that when something breaks or explodes, Blaine has it covered.

How cool is it to have a school that is so well balanced, it makes coming here every weekday so much more engaging. Just remember though, do not go punching a computer monitor or snapping your lunch tray because I don’t think the school would enjoy replacing it, not because they don’t have enough money, but because that is just wrong.
