Minnesota College Applications Week is a week where most, but not all, Minnesota colleges will waive their application fees to those seniors that would like to apply to their school.  Minnesota colleges have this week to increase the amount of seniors who are interested in college.  This also gives seniors a jump-start on applying for college as well as helping them financially.

This jump-start is crucial because most college’s application deadlines are in early December.  The average college application fee is twenty to sixty dollars.  Most college bound students apply to 3-5 schools.  So the average senior could save anywhere between $60-$300 depending on where they apply.

The applications themselves are very similar.  There is even a generic application for most of, if not all, Minnesota state colleges.
