Expendables or Expendables 2?

Expendables or Expendables 2?

Sylverster Stallone did everything in these two movies. He acted, directed, and even had a hand in producing.

In The Expendables series, the movies follow a band of six mercenaries that do the bidding of a group that is called The Company. Both movies may look the same to some, yet they are totally different.

1.) In the first Expendables, leader Barney (Stallone) is told that his group of “misfits” are to go an island called Vilena to take out a corrupt army general in charge of the government and a drug smuggling business. On a reconnaissance of the island, Barney and his partner Christmas (Jason Statham) are led around by a woman guide from The Company, and Barney starts to fall in love with her. Once they get close to the general’s living quarters, they see that he is being pushed around by a rouge CIA agent. Then things get hairy and the two men have to shoot their way off the island. The contact stays back because she wants to help her home. When the rest of Barney’s crew says the mission is too risky, he wants to go in anyway to save the contact that he had fallen for. So the six guys head back to Vilena to preform a raid on the quarters where she is being held captive. If you want to know how it ends you won’t be getting it from me.

2.) In Expendables 2, Barney and the gang are back for war in the second installment. The guys are in a mission to collect maps that lead to the location of some weapons grade chemicals. After retrieving the maps, they get caught up with the gang-for-hire that was originally after them, and they end up losing the maps and the newest member of their team. So in revenge, the team hunts down every last guy in the squad. Some of the big names in this movie are: Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Chuck Norris, and Arnold Shwarzenegger.

I would have to take number 2 over number 1. It has a more solid, believable storyline than the first one does. I mean, who would really go back with a ton of weapons to save a girl that he cares for? Fighting for a fallen teammate is more fitting for the fighting scene, to me at least.

Hope you enjoy watching!
