Beth Revis, author of captivating series, “Across the Universe”, has finally made her decision as to how to end the trilogy.

The third book, “Shades of Earth” is the epic closer to a story about Amy and Elder, a boy and girl trying to survive in deadly situations that involve spaceships, and monstrous planets, and possible brewing romance.

Continuing on with the plot from book 1 and 2, “Shades of Earth” is about Amy and Elder, finally touching down on planet Centauri-Earth, a newfound planet that can sustain humans. After leaving Godspeed (the spaceship that brought them there), they, and all of the population wake and begin to make a life for themselves by building a colony.

What the colony later finds out, is that there is an entire race of alien beings set on killing their entire group. The alien race has in their a monster of their creation; pteros. These monsters are similar versions of the late dinosaurs,having the same build and massive structure. Their goal: to kill the humans that are invading their planet.

Amy and Elder, though surrounded by death, and discrimination by those different in the colony; continue their search for clues that will help them survive on the planet.

Is it possible for them to survive on a planet they know nothing about? Who can they trust? Will they have to resort to killing themselves?
