Zero Dark Thirty Review

We have all heard about the Osama Bin Laden takedown. Or have we really? Sure there is the physical takedown done by the team of SEALS, but what about how the operation came to be? Zero Dark Thirty gives us that inside story, but not how we would expect it. Be prepared for the behind the scenes drama.

Zero Dark Thirty takes you all the way back to the sounds of 9/11, reminding the viewer why we went after Bin Laden. Then it follows the CIA story of Maya (Jessica Chastain) the following year where she took part in her first interrogation of an Al Qaeda member. From there it goes through her story of how she found Bin Laden. She interrogates, tracks, and captures leads on Bin Laden, coming up with a theory of where Bin Laden is. Many people don’t take her seriously, because they’re not 100% sure where Bin Laden is. With car bombs, assassination plots, posing as obstacles. Maya never gives up on her goal to find Bin Laden.

I like this movie because it shows the power and work that the CIA puts in to finding the people that need elimination. It shows the sacrifice of people, that aren’t military, and the lengths that they have to go to be able to preserve our freedoms.

I like the unique angle the movie takes. If you are looking for lots of action and blood, well then you only want to watch the actual takedown part of the movie. As for others, I think you would appreciate the whole intelligence story. I mean, the way that they were able to find Bin Laden is pretty cool. Hope you take a look at this film, at least to look at this from a better angle.

Enjoy watching!
