Update 1: Polls closed a couple of minutes ago on the East Coast. The New York Times has called South Carolina, Oklahoma, Indiana (Where Mike Pence was Governor), Kentucky, and West Virginia for Donald Trump. They have called Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware, Massachusetts, and Vermont for Hillary Clinton. Hillary leads Trump 44-40 in electoral votes.
Key battleground state North Carolina has Clinton ahead 52-46, while in Florida, Clinton and Trump are virtually tied at 48.5%. The states have 6% and 59% of precincts reporting, respectively. Virginia, the home of Vice Presidential nominee Tim Kaine, has Trump ahead 52-43%, with 43% of precincts reporting. These three states are key for each candidate to win. They are diverse states that carry at least 13 electoral votes.

Update 2: As of 8:00pm Central Time, the New York Times has Donald Trump ahead 48-66 in electoral votes. Florida and Virginia both have Trump expanding his lead over Hillary Clinton, with 76% of precincts reporting. These are key states for both candidates.
Clinton appears to have locked up the Northeast, while Trump has made gains in the Southeast. Trump has been gaining on Clinton in many states like Ohio and North Carolina.

Update 3: In a stunning turn of events, a Donald Trump presidency looks very possible. The New York Times has Trump at a 53% chance of winning the election, a dramatic change from its prediction of a 71% chance of a Hillary Clinton win. Battleground states like Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida, once thought solid Clinton wins, are looking to be a very favorable for Trump.
