Give a Coat to Local Children so They Can Stay Warm (BPA Coats For Kids Drive)

September 15, 2016

Business Professionals of America (BPA) members will be conducting its 23rd annual Coats for Kids drive from September 26 – October 7.

Coats for Kids was founded in 1986 to ensure that local community children in need would have access to warm coats each winter. Since then, they have collected and cleaned more than 389,000 coats to help keep children warm.

Students, staff, and community residents are invited to drop off new or used coats at BHS from 7:00 – 7:35am in the schools North and South commons areas, DECA Den, or in the main office. Coats can also be dropped off during lunch time at the DECA Den. 12:30 – 1:00pm. BPA members will be there to accept the coats.

Last year BHS collected 350 coats for needy children in our area. This year they have a goal of 400+ coats. Blaine BPA has collected almost 12,000 coats for children over the 23 years.

So, let’s all get together and clean out those closets this weekend! Drop off your no longer used coats at BHS beginning September 26. If you would like to set up a drop off please contact Holly Boisjolie, BPA Advisor, at 763.506.6540 or [email protected].
