Almost every high school student hates getting up early in the morning. Whether it’s being tired from staying up until 3 in the morning, or just simply being a teen, almost everyone is tired and groggy in the morning, and simply cannot wait to get home in the afternoon.

Why should someone be forced to get up at 5 in the morning when they couldn’t even fall asleep until two hours earlier?

One student, Anna Charleson, had this to say: “I have to get up at 5:20 every morning. I want to bash my head in with a hammer.”

To make matters worse, the bus always arrives too early and too late, and no one wants to wait outside, especially in the unbearably cold Minnesotan winters.

Many students who ride the bus to school complain about rides being too long, but also too bumpy or loud to get rest.

Regular Blaine students may think that it’s bad enough, but it’s even worse for CEMS students, many of whom get bussed from over 20 miles away.

After-school extracurricular activities are a good way to expand your horizons and generally have a good time, right? Unfortunately, for a lot of people, it means riding the activity bus home every night.

One student, who asked to remain anonymous, said, ¨when I stay after school for activities, I have to take the activity bus home, and the weird bus driver always drops me off last.¨

But it isn’t all that bad. Some students are actually okay with the long bus rides, because it allows them to get extra sleep. For example, another student named Aiden Pederson said, ¨It’s fine because I get to nap.¨

So, for Blaine High School students, you either love or hate the bus rides, but the most important thing is to take full advantage of it.
